Karesse Clemons is a multifaceted American journalist, broadcaster, author, and public affairs professional whose career spans digital media, live entertainment, education, and faith-based leadership.

Originally from Hopkinsville, Kentucky, Clemons has spent his career building platforms that champion diverse voices and connect communities. His passion for storytelling began early, leading him to Tennessee State University, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in Mass Communications.

He later expanded his leadership and service-driven approach to media by studying at Wesley Theological Seminary in Washington, D.C., and Interdenominational Theological Center in Atlanta, Georgia. That combination of communications training, spiritual formation, and cultural leadership shaped a body of work centered on purpose, representation, and public impact.

Driven by a commitment to representation and cultural impact, Clemons founded the Intercultural Media Alliance, formerly the National Academy of Business, Media Arts, and Film. As its founding president, he launched initiatives including the Intercultural Media Festival and the Black National Honors to celebrate diverse achievements and elevate underrepresented creatives.

As a producer, his work spans films, television concepts, radio shows, and podcasts, all guided by the belief that media should inform, inspire, and challenge audiences rather than simply entertain them.

Beyond the studio, Clemons has extensive experience in live entertainment and touring. Through his work with Live Nation Entertainment, he managed fast-paced production environments for major artists including Chris Brown, Common, and Dave Matthews. He also served as the road manager for Jewel’s Freewheelin’ Woman Tour, overseeing complex logistics and live event operations.

His journalistic and communications background is equally robust. Clemons reported on complex daily news stories for Region 8 News in Jonesboro, Arkansas, and later served as a Public Affairs Specialist for the U.S. Army, where he managed strategic communications and multimedia production.

Deeply invested in lifting up the next generation, Clemons has returned to his roots at Tennessee State University to support communications students, media technology, and broadcast operations. His dedication to community also extends to faith-based leadership; at the City of Grace Church in Nashville, Tennessee, he oversaw both the college ministry and marketing efforts.
